Efficient Chips was founded in Kalamunda, Western Australia in 1996 by brothers Daniel and Trevor Pinnington, with the aim of providing a quality computer service to the local community. Over the next 15 years Efficient Chips gained a reputation for exceptional service, primarily relying on the recommendation of existing clients, many of whom remain as loyal customers to this day.

Today, the company employs a wide variety of staff in two locations, including the original Kalamunda retail store and a purpose-built facility in East Perth. A fleet of well-equipped mobile support vehicles ensures prompt, reliable service across the Perth metropolitan area.
